Office Accountant

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Office Accountant to manage the daily financial operations of our office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, handling petty cash, processing invoices, and supporting internal accounting functions to ensure smooth financial workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including data entry and bookkeeping.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Manage petty cash and office expense reimbursements.
• Prepare and issue invoices, purchase orders, and payment receipts.
• Reconcile bank statements and cash books regularly.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support monthly and annual closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant regulations.
• Assist with tax filings, TDS/GST (if applicable), and audit preparations.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers regarding payments and dues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in an office accounts or bookkeeping role.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance (for Indian context).
• Knowledge of inventory management (if applicable).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
